The “Pre-Fascism” Argument: the Study of Authoritarianism in the 20th Century (from a Catalan-Spanish Viewpoint)

Breu estat de la qüestió de les anàlisis dels fenòmens antiparlamentaris moderns destacant l’èmfasi que s’ha posat en estudiar-ne els precedents i desencadenants de més llarga durada o “prefeixisme”. L’article proposa diferenciar entre els elements anteriors que intervindran directament en el desenvolupament d’aquest fenomen típic i específic del període d’entreguerres dels que hem de considerar propis de la complexa crisi de la implantació del sistema democràtic a l’Europa occidental. The article first proposes to differentiate between these elements, which directly intervene in the development of such a specific phenomenon of the interwar period, and the ones inherent to the complex crisis of insertion of the democratic system in Western Europe.
